Families invited to Grow Community on March 31
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The National Building Museum presents Growing Community, a family afternoon to highlight the intersection of design, the natural environment, and community building. In celebration of the National Cherry Blossom Festival®, the activities are set to take place on March 31, 2018, 11 am–2 pm. Attendees of all ages will explore the ways the environment can inspire design and help create a community atmosphere.
Attendees will:
• Design and build a large scale model of your own green space, inspired by a park in their neighborhood
• Attend ten minute talks about the importance of green space in cities
• Listen to a spring-inspired story time
Programs are free, drop in, and appropriate for all ages.
