The National Building Museum provides a variety of accessibility services for visitors.
Wheelchair and stroller access is located at our G Street NW entrance. For after-hours programs, use our 4th Street NW entrance via the parking lot. If you are in need of a wheelchair upon arrival, during normal business hours, visit the Information Desk to inquire. Elevators are centrally located on the north and south walls of the building. The Museum’s exhibition galleries and other public spaces are designed in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Parking Accessibility
The National Building Museum does not provide parking for visitors. However, the D.C. Department of Transportation provides disability parking options on street throughout the Museum’s immediate neighborhood. Local public transportation options such as Metro also provide services and accommodations for those with disabilities. Visit WMATA’s website to learn more about these services.
